This image was taken while Digital Underground was in San Fransisco on tour, 2003. I had one professional photoshoot set up, but then I also had my camera in hand the entire time, capturing images as I saw them.

This image was actually more Shock’s creation than mine. We were on our way out at night and walked by a building that had this strange orange glowing light. He said, “Oh! Let’s do a silhouette shot!” He saw the vision of this before I did. We snapped a few shots in passing. He liked what he saw and we moved on. Then, he ended up drawing over it (headphones and words) and using it for album artwork for “Shockwaves”.
